I'll start with my dog. Cora is a Husky German Shepherd mix, and I bathe her about every six weeks – I don't want to strip that double coat. She keeps these oils intact, and if I bathe her too often, it actually leads to itching. But for your average dog, I would tell you three to four to five weeks as the average. You will adjust that based on recommendations from your vet and based on breed.

Any tips for dogs who hate baths?
I'm not opposed to recommending or suggesting a calming agent: something like CBD can help. Another approach is to desensitize them to the event. Taking a dog that's afraid of the bath and the water and pushing them in there, and having three people holding them in the bath while you're trying to rub soap and water around them…that doesn't work. That actually makes the behavior worse. You want to gradually introduce them to the water. You can do that by just sprinkling water on them or giving them a treat to ingratiate your dog to a better bathing experience.
