Dogs have always been a big part of our lives. We grew up with them, we got our first dog together in 2008, and now we have four party animals (Penny, Pearl, Pebbles, and Petey – try saying that fast). But most dog brands have never really spoken to us or felt true to what pet parenting is like. Dogs can be sweet, playful, silly – but also messy, unhinged, and even sometimes, total trolls (we see those side eyes). But no matter what, we love them. So much. Too much? And because of that, we wanted to make something different – a brand for pets and their people.
Y’all know we take food seriously in this house, so we’ve developed premium quality dry food for dogs that’s every bit as nutritious as fresh – but way more convenient and affordable. We’re also a space for learning more about dogs (care of our Chief Vet Dr. Kwane Stewart) and for celebrating them with the fun and humor they deserve. (Check out Tails). Oh, and merch. We needed some good dog merch!
We’re proud to be founders at Kismet, but the real stars here are dogs and the humans who love them. We're excited you found us. It’s Kismet.
(and Penny, Pearl, Pebbles, and Petey) (oh, and our kids, too!)
Partnering with board certified vet nutritionists and a team of expert formulators, Kismet selected the best natural ingredients to develop a complete and balanced range of food for dogs at all life stages.
Dr. Kwane Stewart is the Chief Veterinary Officer at Kismet. With over two decades of experience in veterinary medicine and a recognized commitment to animal welfare, his leadership is instrumental in guiding Kismet’s product development and ensuring the highest standards of pet health and nutrition.
Dr. Kwane was named 2023 CNN Hero of the Year in honor of his work founding and operating Project Street Vet, a non-profit that provides medical care to the pets of people experiencing homelessness. Since starting Project Street Vet in 2020, he and his volunteer teams have treated thousands of animals while giving their human parents hope and dignity, too – aligning with Kismet’s mission and brand ethos.
We’ll help you select the right food for your dog based on their age, size, breed, and lifestyle.
Every sale benefits a dog in need and goes toward our beneficiaries: Project Street Vet and Paws for Life.
Project Street Vet is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit public charity that provides free veterinary care, treatment, and support to the pets of individuals experiencing homelessness and/or housing vulnerability. Project Street Vet was founded by Kismet’s Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr. Kwane Stewart, who for the past decade has provided free veterinary care to pets of people experiencing homelessness – often personally walking areas of high homelessness to seek pets and pet parents in need.
Paws For Life K9 Rescue is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit committed to saving and transforming the lives of animals and people. Through their innovative canine-centered programs, they provide purpose, support, and opportunity. Their hallmark program, the Paws for Life Prison Program, sends dogs from overcrowded and high-kill shelters to prisons for training and socialization, combining highly effective dog-training methods with proven rehabilitative models. They provide several additional programs, including their People & Pet Innovation Center, which offers free and unlimited training and play groups for both community and shelter dogs in southern California.
