Good morning, September! Chrissy and John here! As our regulars know, we exclusively check-in with our email subscribers at the top of each month.
August was all about soaking in the summer moments—Shakers pup cups, sunny walks, plenty of Nugs to go around, and making sure we’ve got all our SPF on (yes, even our dogs too). Between community events, collabs, and gearing up for back-to-school season with the kids, we definitely kept busy, and the dogs were more than happy to tag along for every step. If you’ve got any end-of-summer adventures planned, we put together a handy dog travel packing list to help make your trips with pups as easy (and fun) as possible.

We kicked things off out east with our partners at Wags & Walks for their Pup Up in the Hamptons. It was an incredible weekend celebrating rescue dogs and the amazing community that supports them. Nothing beats seeing happy pups finding their furever homes—and being part of that joy is always an honor.

Back in the city, our amazing Kismet team truly took over NYC. They visited our partners at Muddy Paws, volunteered with our friends at Animal Haven, and led not one but three epic Pack Walks—through Central Park, Domino Square Park, and Fort Greene Park. They even hosted a Pop-Up Grocer Treat Tasting, complete with Kismet Treats and bandanas. John and I may have been stuck at home with a serious case of FOMO, but we couldn’t be prouder of our incredible Kismet team for doing it all—bringing pups and people together across cities, one wag at a time.
Meanwhile in LA, Kismet showed up for Dog Days of Summer at Hot Dog on a Stick. With Shakers pup cups, Nugs, and a whole lot of wagging tails, it was a perfect way to close out summer on the West Coast.
August reminded us of what Kismet is really about—community, connection, and a whole lot of love for our dogs.
As for what’s ahead? September is bringing even more chances to gather, share, and celebrate this pack we’re building together. Stay tuned—you won’t want to miss what’s next.
