Fireworks & Pet Portraits

Fireworks & Pet Portraits

Hi Kismet Fam, Chrissy and John here! It’s the first of the month, which means it’s time for our monthly check-in with all of you.

Between fireworks, fancy events, and some seriously exciting launches, it felt like the month just zoomed by. Let’s just say… July kept us on our toes (and paws) from start to finish. Chrissy says it was “equal parts sparkle and slobber,” which feels about right.

We kicked things off with a bang celebrating the 4th of July! Our dogs definitely loved the extra treats (and maybe a few extra cuddles to calm their fireworks nerves). Fireworks aside, our favorite part was just being together—tails wagging, snacks flowing, and surrounded by the ones we love.

And in the midst of it all, we hit a major milestone: our clinical trial results came in—and they’re even better than we hoped. Every dog in the trial showed improvement in at least one gut health biomarker. That means happy dogs and good poops! It’s so rewarding to know that the food we’re making is truly helping dogs’ health from the inside out. For us, science and love go hand-in-paw.

Another big highlight? The PAWS Chicago Gala. Our Kismet team was there to support the cause, and we couldn’t be prouder to be part of an event that uplifts shelters and the people working tirelessly to make a difference. Moments like these remind us that Kismet is about more than just what’s in the bowl—it’s about showing up for our broader dog community, however we can.

And speaking of our community, we were thrilled to collaborate with Andrea Cáceres to drop some of her iconic pet portraits! She even created beautiful custom portraits of our own dogs, which we absolutely treasure. Her incredible art continues to inspire us, and seeing your love for these custom portraits has been amazing. Keep sending those pics—we love seeing your furry friends in all their glory.

As for what’s next? We’re already dreaming up new ways to bring this pack together in August. Stay tuned for more good stuff coming soon.
