We learned about Dudley from the amazing rescue org Wags & Walks. He showed up there in mid-January, shortly after the LA wildfires. We don’t know his history, but it was clear he was in poor condition and struggling to breathe. He was diagnosed with severe pneumonia and fighting for his life.
We felt instantly connected to Dudley and wanted to support him. We offered to help sponsor additional treatment options to make sure he received the best care possible. Thirteen days in the hospital, endless love from his foster family, and an incredible recovery later – he’s officially home.
If you’re also thinking about adopting, we asked Dr. Kwane to share his tips on welcoming a new dog into your home. Watch it here!
The kids love Dudley. Petey, Pearl, and Pebbles are warming up to him. We think Penny would have dug him. Nothing can replace the dogs we’ve loved before, but sometimes, the universe sends us the reminder that we need to open our hearts again. Call it kismet.
