I just adopted a dog. What are the first steps I should take?
I'll put this in three very easy buckets. The first is to find a good veterinarian, someone you know and trust. The second is to identify a really good, nutritious food; of course, my recommendation is Kismet. And the third is to establish a really solid pattern. This will be very individual and personalized to you, but ultimately, you have to integrate this new dog into your life, so establish a routine and schedule that works well for both of you.
